On February 20, 2023, the Management Board of My Son Cultural Heritage received a delegation of professors and scientists from Marche Polytechnic University, Italy and Hue University of Science who came to work and survey the My Son heritage site. Within the framework of cooperation on the topic "Research and orientation for solutions to preserve national cultural heritage in association with tourism development in central provinces on the basis of information technology application", the representative of the delegation, Professor Fausto Pugnaloni, Marche Polytechnic University, Italy said: After a long time we returned to the My Son temple complex, this heritage has had a great change both in terms of heritage conservation as well as tourism development. Our trip this time has a representative of the Italian embassy in Ho Chi Minh City to survey and evaluate activities of conservation and tourism development, including the world heritages list by UNESCO. After this trip, we will have meetings and workshops to review, evaluate and provide necessary support for conservation activities as well as tourism development. We focus not only on the world heritage sites in the Central region but also national heritages including Champa heritage sites.

Receiving the delegation, Mr. Phan Ho, Director of the Management Board, said that besides the efforts of the Vietnamese government, in the process of preserving and promoting the values of My Son heritage, we always receive great supports from other countries, organizations and individuals making a very important contribution in the process of preserving and promoting heritage values. Including the important contribution of the Italian government to the My Son heritage through the project of archaeological excavation and restoration of group G , excavation of group L. The group G has so far completed conservation and restoration work. The group L is still unfinished. We hope to soon complete the excavation and restoration of the group L in the near future. Besides, there are many groups of architectural works that are still in a state of destruction after the war such as groups F, M, N, we hope to receive the attention of the Italian embassy in Vietnam as well as professors from Marche Polytechnic University, Italy in the conservation of My Son heritage.
The mission has surveyed many heritage sites in the central region, focusing on the network connecting both cultural and natural heritages, both world and national heritages in developing tourism in the central provinces, including heritage sites in Quang Nam province.
